The performance teams for Dance Unlimited were formed in September 2004. Our performance team’s forte lies in Salsa, Rueda and Bachata dancing. But when the occasion calls for it, we do explore other dance forms as well.
The Dance Unlimited performance team has since performed at various events such as Corporate Dinner & Dances and the prestigious opening ceremony of the 2005 Chingay Festival. They have also been featured on many television programs on Arts Central, namely "Destination Dance" and "Party Guide for an Urbanite".
The Dance Unlimited performance team is made up of a close knitted group of young, fun-loving working professionals all bonded by their common passion for Salsa. When need be, they willingly devote their precious weekends and hectic weekday evenings to practice for upcoming performances.
Just what is it that makes them so passionate about Salsa dancing and Dance
Unlimited in particular? Perhaps it would be better to let them do the talking.
"It's a performance team we can really call our own. I've gained a new insight into the world of performing arts and realised how difficult it is to put up a Salsa dance performance that garners a standing ovation"
Jimmy, Salsa Enthusiast.
"Practising a choreographed sequence for a Salsa or Rueda performance gives me a target to work towards, rather than just social dancing.
More importantly, I've come to know the people in the team better and gained invaluable friendship from the long hours of practice and after-practice makan sessions."
Joyce, Salsa Enthusiast. |
