Malaysia Open Salsa Competition 2003
In 2003, up against other competitors from Japan, Cuba, Malaysia
and Singapore, Suman managed to bag the prestigious Championship
title at the Malaysia Open Salsa Competition.
After being crowned a Salsa Champion a year before, Suman’s next
challenge was to pit himself against others like him - those who
could boast of similar achievements under their belts.
The Open category of the Malaysian Salsa Competition
meant that anyone and everyone could take part. Suman found
himself up against competitors from all over Southeast Asia,
Japan and even Cuba. Even the Ambassador of Cuba was present to
grace the prestigious event.
That faithful evening, right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, the
finals of the Malaysia Open Salsa Competition were held.
The results were announced. The crowd went wild. The cameras
flashed. The reporters scrambled to interview the newly crowned
Salsa Champions.
That faithful evening, Suman walked away with yet another Salsa
championship trophy, recognition of his talent and his passion
for Salsa. |
